Crowd fills up Jahazi Pier as Feffe Bussi holds maiden concert

Feffe Bussi had an enchanting entrance that saw him cruise toward the concert venue – the waterfront field – on a big boat accompanied by a few other smaller boats.

It’s not easy to fill up a venue to capacity especially if it’s the first concert, but local rapper, Feffe Bussi born Frank Mukiza, defied the odds on Saturday night at Jahazi Pier, Munyonyo on the shores of Lake Victoria.

The rapper who sprung up 11 years ago has consistently maintained musical relevance. Some people said staging a concert was long overdue, and the turn up on Saturday attested to that, if the big crowd in the ordinary and VIP sections is anything to go by.

Organized by Kibbo Entertainment and Angry Management, the sold-out-out ‘Hip-Hop Ku Nalubaale’ concert sponsored by Club Pilsener was a celebration of the self-proclaimed ‘smallest rapper’s’ music journey and the revelers’ energy could tell.

After non-stop performances from artistes who opened for the Influencer hit maker, it was time to pave way for the man of the night to unveil his package to the waiting fans.

But not before a spectacle that preceded his act. Feffe had an enchanting entrance that saw him cruise toward the concert venue – the waterfront field – on a big boat accompanied by a few other smaller boats that carried his entourage. This entrance was accompanied by a fireworks display.

Clad in a black pair of shoes, all white; pants, leather jacket, and a king’s costume, completing the whole look with a crown on the head, he finally kicked off his live performance with songs like Kaako, Romantic, Baagala (Feffe), Ntondo, Omumanyi, Buzibu Bwo, Kanyama, Iddi Amin Dada, Yes No, Gulu, Koi Koi Remix, Bad Segu and Key before taking a break.

On return, the rapper performed some collabs like Amaaso alongside Vinka, Winnie Nwagi and rapper The Mith, Empole alongside Lydia Jazmine and later Ekyaana and Onkuba which closed round one.

During break, there were more performances from other acts; Mozelo Kids, Rickman, Kapeke, Fik Gaza, Zex Bilangilangi and Green Daddy.

Feffe then returned refreshed for round Two with Pallaso with whom they performed their collab Romeo and Juliet, Did I Die with Hatim and Dockey and Vampino.

There was a special session with him and his presumed lover singer Karole Kasita. The two performed their duet Ebyo Byoli before the rapper shared stage with Nubian Li and Zex Bilangilangi.

Amid pressure from security personnel to close the event since the gazetted time (midnight) for outdoor concerts had passed, Feffe Bussi wound the show with a special freestyle rap session during which he was joined by acclaimed rappers Navio, Babaluku, Spyda MC, The Mith and Ragga Dee who did a hip-hop cypher on veteran American rapper Nas’ Hate Me Now song beat.

Other artistes that performed included Azawi, King Saha, Dax Vybz, Red Banton, Big Eye, Mr. Mosh, Vyper Ranking, Fresh Kid and Yung Mulo among others.

In the earlier hours of the evening, local budding artistes such as Kid Dee, Fixon Magna, Ava Peace, Nandor Love, Jowie Landa, JPC, Elly Govana, Kimxeler, Pretty Banks had been platformed.

With this successful concert, Feffe has proved that he is among the top rappers and a round of applause to Fenon Events who put together a scenic stage and other production aspects.
