On March 2, at Kololo Independence grounds, English reggae star Ali Campbell will return to Uganda in a concert, with his current band.

Initially scheduled for December 21, 2023, Campbell returns to Uganda at a time when reggae music in Uganda is having a cocktail of events. From the Bob Marley and Dennis Brown tribute concerts, early this month, Ali Campbell Featuring UB40, to Jinjera, on March 9, reggae is, indeed, kicking off Uganda’s social calendar with the lion’s share.

Returning from their sold-out show in Mumbai, India, Campbell and his band will be in Uganda, quite interesting is the local line-up of artists set to share stage with the veteran band.

Today, February 26, the organisers of the concert – Talent Africa, announced that songstress Rema Namakula will join Campbell and his band.

Rema joins a lineup of other local artists like Bebe Cool, Vinka, Navio, Elijah Kitaka, Weasel, Vampino, Party Pipo and Abeeka Band. And to spice up the reggae do, renowned reggae DJ, Naselow The Don, is lined up.
