Princess Ruth Komuntale of Tooro Kingdom has given birth to her first child.
The news of the new born boy were shared by Ruth’s brother – the King of Tooro as well as the Queen Mother, Best Kemigisa.
The baby has already been given a name – Jamari Mathew Farquharson – along with the pet name Adyeeri.
Among Batooro, everyone is given a pet name ‘empaako’ on birth. This pet name is given by the parents depending on aspects like who in their clan has had that pet name.
Adyeeri is someone who is friendly, affectionate with a larger- than-life heart.
This is the first child Princess Ruth is having with husband Phil to whom she has been married since May of 2021.
The Queen Mother wrote that for baby Jamari to be born in the month of September is culturally significant as this is the month during which Tooro kingdom is celebrating the 27th Coronation of King Oyo. In the same month, Tooro kingdom will be marking 200 years.
“My grandson also shares a birthday with his Late Grandfather Kabumba Omukama Patrick David Mathew Kaboyo Olimi III,” she added.
“I pray for God’s protection upon the baby and his parents all the days of their lives.”
