Bobi Wine, his wife Barbie and their children went for an African theme while picking their outfit for the Christmas photo shoot.
On Thursday, Barbie shared stunning photos on her Instagram showing them rocking a collection of outfits inspired by cultures in different parts of Africa. The photo shoot is their complete family including their four children Solomon, Shalom, Shadraq and Suubi.
“From our family to yours, happy holidays; merry Christmas,” Barbie posted on her Instagram.
The different outfits that the six wore were designed by city stylist, Mavo Kampala, of Mavo Kampala Clothing, who told Plugged that the concept was Barbie’s.
“Mainly it was Barbie’s idea that she wanted me to put to life and every one played their role excellently,” Mavo, who won Outstanding Stylist in Fashion in the recent Janzi Awards, exclusively told Plugged on Thursday.
The theme is rooted in African heritage and culture.
“Bobi and Solomon are in Ghanaian men’s cultural style using Ankara material which we accessorized with ancient Egyptian masks,” he said
Barbie wore Ankara material styled in a Gomesi version. This was accessorized with a beaded necklace inspired by cultures from South Africa.

For the footwear, Mavo used craft sandals of different designs made from the Northern Uganda, Ghana, and central of Uganda.
The stylist told Plugged it took him two days to put the family’s outfit together.
Asked if one would get this same attire, Mavo said; “I don’t repeat what I do”, adding that the cost depends on the service they would prefer.
