Hi, what are you looking for?

Zari Hassan

Celebs

Is Zari giving her life to Christ or is it just a phase?

The latest chapter will yet again leave fans who have always been puzzled by Zari’s religious affiliation, more confused. Zari who goes by a Muslim name has always identified with duo religious practices – as a Christian and Muslim.

South African-based Ugandan socialite, Zari Hassan, is in “a new space” and she says it is about renewal, deliverance and redemption.

The mother of five spent much of Sunday posting about spiritual quotes on her Instagram.

She also posted a video in which she revealed she had unfollowed “lots of people” on social media, to disconnect and be in her space.

“I unfollowed a whole lot of people and just left my friends. I’m just in a space where I kinda feel like I’m just disconnecting to come back and connect,” Zari said in the video shared on her Instagram, adding; “And to the people I unfollowed, it’s nothing personal. I’m just in my space. I’m just in my zone….”

The socialite who has two kids with Tanzanian music star, Diamond Platnumz, says she is in a space where nobody except herself and the few people in her close circle can understand. She’s asking that her fans be patient and that some day, it will all make sense.

She termed this phase she’s undergoing as “Chapter 41” and gave away some clues for those that will be pondering upon it. Zari used words like amazing, beautiful, different, revival, renewal, deliverance and redemption, to describe her current state.

In another post, she thanked God for filling her air with “sanitizer” and leaving her no room for a dirty mind. This was in relation to a question she posed on why everyone’s mindset lately is preoccupied with sexual talk.

“What happened to church dates where you both held each other’s hands, and prayed for each other? Nowadays everything so sexual. Can’t even hold a decent convo without it not kinda pointing that way. Thank God lately the air is full of sanitizer leaving me no room for a dirty mind,” the 41-year-old mom wrote in an Instagram post.

The latest chapter will yet again leave fans who have always been puzzled by Zari’s religious affiliation, more confused. Zari who goes by a Muslim name has always identified with duo religious practices – as a Christian and Muslim.

At times she goes to church and other times she wears the Hijab. She has never publicly stated where her faith lies. Instead, several times, she has lashed out at fans who bring up the issue.

“I do as I please not how you others want me to,” Zari responded to a Kenyan fan on social media in 2018 after they asked her “Are you Muslim or Christian coz sometimes you’re at church sometimes praising Allah?”

It’s not clear whether this phase of “deliverance” has anything to do with a gospel music video that Zari recently revealed she was shooting with a prominent man of God.

Her recent visit to Uganda was met with rumors that she had secretly introduced a new lover to her family in a lowkey traditional ceremony. However, Zari came out to refute the claims,

“There are photos circulating on social media, please ignore them. They are from an upcoming gospel music video with a prominent man of God. Ignore everything you’re reading on the internet,” she said in a video posted last week.
