Acting couple, Mathew and Eleanor Nabwiso, have made 8 years together as a married couple.
The couple marked their 8th anniversary on Wednesday. They celebrated the milestone on set in Mutungo, in a lowkey moment shared with the rest of the Sanyu drama series crew.
Mathew is the Producer and Director of Sanyu, the MultiChoice-commissioned TV series while Eleanor doubles as a cast member and casting director.
They cut cake which they washed down with some wine. They posted a video of them being cheered by the Sanyu crew as they danced to a song performed by a guitarist. Beside love, the air was also filled with sentiments of positive envy from the onlookers.
“Happy anniversary to us. Cheers to more love, happiness and growth,” Eleanor posted on Instagram with heart emojis.
On his part, Mathew wrote that “the hustle (work/Sanyu) has been so real” to the extent that “our eight anniversary caught us unaware”.
He thanked the cast and crew who threw them (he and Eleanor) a surprise celebration.
Married in 2013, the couple has four children together – two boys and two girls.
Perhaps to little surprise, they met in 2010 during their acting roles in the hit TV series The Hostel, and fell in love.
On how they balance the needs of film and family, both of which are very demanding, Eleanor has previously said that most of the time, she and Matthew take turns, so they are on set at different times.
“But if we have to both be on set at the same time, we are blessed with a big family, so our mothers and sisters help a lot,” Eleanor told Sqoop earlier this year.
She also said Mathew supports her 100 percent, whether it is financially, emotionally or physically.
“I am really blessed to have him. He has sacrificed a lot to have me live my dream. And the best part is him being a part of it all.”
